Nigeria Air Force restates commitment to ending terrorism, others in Niger State

As the fight against terrorism and other insecurity intensifies, the Nigeria Air Force 013 Quick Response Unit in Niger State has restated its resolve to collaborate with other security agencies to end insecurity.

Commander of the 013 Quick Response Force, Group Captain Austine Idoko, made the commitment at the 2024 Base Socio-Cultural Activities, BASA, an annual celebration marking the conclusion of a successful operational year.

The Commander of the 013 Quick Response Force, Group Captain Austine Idoko, during the celebration, reflected on their operational activities for 2024, stating that their efforts have yielded significant successes in alignment with the objectives of their headquarters.

He emphasized that the 013 Quick Response Force remains dedicated to consolidating the gains achieved and maintaining a swift response to security challenges within the state as part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA and other joint security initiatives.

The 013 quick response commander further added that the officers and men, while carrying out their constitutional duties, will continue to uphold professionalism and maintain good civil-military relationship with host communities.

The Niger State government, through the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Brigadier General, Bello Muhammed, said the end to banditry is in sight.

He reassured that the Niger State Government will continue to support and collaborate with the Nigerian Air Force by providing the necessary resources and infrastructure to enhance their effectiveness.

The 013 Quick Response Force Base Socio-Cultural Activities, BASA, saw the display of mock quarter guards mounted by school children, different cultures, dance, foods, thug of war as well as the beating of the retreat and lighting of bonfire.
