The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, has called on the people of Southern Kaduna, to embrace the spirit of “forgive and forget”, towards ending several attacks which has slowed down development in the area.
The executive secretary of the commission, Yakubu Pam, made this known, at the opening of a 3-day peace summit, organised by the Christian body in Kafancha, Kaduna state.
After two weeks visit to the Southern Kaduna area, in search of peaceful reconciliation, among the aggrieved people, the Nigeria Christian Commission, NCPC, proposed a 3-day peace summit to end the age-long crisis between Christians and Muslims.

At the opening of the summit in Kafancha, the executive secretary, NCPC, Yakubu Pam, said that peace can be achieved through dialogue and reconciliation.
Other religious leaders at the summit then called on the warring parties, to sheath their swords and ensure that the efforts made by the NCPC to bring lasting solution to the deepening crisis affecting the southern Kaduna people is successful.
The peace summit is expected to engage those affected and other stakeholders from diverse groups, to strengthen the weakening peace and unity among the people.
Southern Kaduna has witnessed series of deadly attacks by unknown gunmen, which had also claimed thousands of lives and destroyed property worths millions.
