Vice-President Kashim Shettima has implored Nigerians to support the Israel-Nigeria Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers (i-FAIR) initiative to advance the transformation agenda in the country.
Shettima said this during the third i-FAIR cohorts’ graduation of participants of the nine-month mentorship programme for budding innovators and entrepreneurs.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima in his message to the occasion said that the digital world and the power of technology, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, the internet, and others are gradually taking over and Nigeria must not be left behind.
He commended the graduates for boosting the efforts of the Tinubu administration to achieve the transformation agenda of the Federal Government.
The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, said the programme comprised twelve companies spanning health, climate change, and agriculture and embodies the spirit of innovation and resilience.
Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, called for deepened collaboration between Nigeria and Israel in the areas of information technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to effectively transform the fortunes of the teeming youth populaion in Nigeria.
