Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and ex-Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have arrived the residence of National leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for a high-level consultative meeting with the party’s leadership.
The meeting, which is taking place behind closed doors, is being held with the NDC National Leader, Seriake Dickson, alongside other key stakeholders of the party.
Security at the venue has been significantly heightened with access restricted as deliberations continue.
Sources at the scene say the engagement is structured as an interactive and consultative session, focusing on ongoing discussions surrounding the possible defection of both politicians into the party.
However, no official declaration has been made.
The development is seen as part of broader political consultations ahead of future alignments rather than a formal announcement of any political move.
As anticipation builds over the outcome of the talks, the closed-door nature of the meeting underscores its strategic importance, with decisions taken expected to have far-reaching implications for Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
