Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur says “it is with great shock that I received the news of the death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari”.
The Tafida Adamawa in a statement personally signed by him, says “The late MALAM Abba Kyari is a fine gentleman who served his country meritoriously and ensured the smooth running of government in the five years as Chief of Staff”.

Bamanga Tukur who was a minister and also former Governor of old Gongola State said “Given the huge scale of his assignment and the stability he brought to governance, Nigeria has lost a gem that will be missed for a long time to come“.
He prays that” Allah forgive his sins and enable his family and friends the fortitude to bear the great loss”.
