Nigerian music artistes lose in 64th Grammy Awards

Nigeria’s Afrobeats singers, Femi Kuti, Wizkid, BurnaBoy, Tems and Made Kuti have lost out in their nominated categories at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

Wizkid lost to 61-year-old Benenoise singer, songwriter and actress, Angelique Kidjo who took home the Best Global Music Album Award with her “Mother Nature” album and to Pakistani vocalist, Arooj Aftab who took home the Best Global Music Performance Award.

Also Read : Wizkid, Burna Boy, Femi Kuti others nominated for Grammy

Femi and Made Kuti also lost out in the same categories including Tems for her feature on Wizkid’s “Essence” and Burna Boy.

The 64th Grammy Award is currently being held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, United States of America.
