The Forward Operational Base in Giwa, officers and soldiers demonstrated sacrifice and loyalty to nation when they gathered for the Chief of Army Staff Eid-el-Kabir luncheon, an event aimed at boosting morale and appreciating Troops for their resilience and dedication to duty.
The Chief of Administration at Army Headquarters, Major General Isa Abdullahi, who represented the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Shaibu Waidi, commended the Troops for their professionalism and sacrifices in protecting lives and property across the country.
He described their commitment as a major factor behind the operational successes recorded by the Nigerian Army in various theatres of operation.
The Army leadership also paid tribute to fallen soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty, assuring their families that their sacrifices would continue to be honoured and remembered.
