Regular electricity supply has been identified as a vital tool in curbing social vices among Nigeran youths, especially young graduates who can no longer access white collar jobs.
Some of them who spoke to AIT said a steady power supply will allow creating employment opportunities for many of them.

For over one month, residents of Abuja Nigeria’s capital, have been experiencing epileptic power supply, a situation the Minister of Power blames on low water levels from the hydro dams.
This is as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and the Generation Companies (GENCOs) trade blames.
The masses who are at the receiving end, especially the youths called on the government and other stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the challenge.
According to them, a steady power supply will reduce social vices amongst Nigeran Youths with the creation of employment opportunities.
They said the current harsh weather has become unbearable and detrimental to the health of residents.
