The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja has re emphasized that lack of sophisticated improvised devices is a major challenge in the fight against insurgency in the country.
Lt General Lagbaja who appeared before lawmakers during plenary on Tuesday alongside other security chiefs revealed that the Nigerian Army troops who are ill-equipped are forced to combat insecurity with limited devices due to lack of adequate funding.

The Chief of Army Staff noted that despite these challenges, the troops have been able to achieve stability in the North East and are doing everything possible to achieve same in the North West.
The other security chiefs further revealed that manpower in the Nigerian Navy, Airforce and Nigerian Police Force has been grossly inadequate to fight insecurity in the country.
