The recording academy has unveiled the nominees for the 65th Grammy Awards Ceremony scheduled to hold on 5th February 2023 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, United States.
American singer-songwriter, Beyonce led the pack of awards with nine nominations; U.S Rapper, Kenderick Lamar followed with eight nods.

British singer-songwriter, Adele, and American singer-music producer Brandi Carlile are tied with seven nominations.

Future, Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled and Randy Merrill received six nominations apiece.
Bringing it back home to Africa; Nigeria’s Grammy Awards winner Burnaboy was nominated in the Best Global Music Album Category for his Love Damini album.
The It’s Plenty, Last Last afrobeat singer was also nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category, for his hit single, “Last Last.”
Another cheering news is Nigeria’s Afropop, R and B singer Tems, was nominated alongside Future and Drake, in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for the song, ‘Wait for You.
Tems got nominated in two other categories; the Album of the Year category for featuring in Beyonce’s Renaissance album, and also in the Best Rap Song category.
In the top three all-genre categories: The Record of the year, Album of the year and Song of the year; Beyoncé, Adele, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar and Lizzo are to slug it out.
South African comedian, television host and actor Trevor Noah, who has been the host of the last two editions of the Grammys; will host the 2023 edition.
