The 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League season will kick off this weekend.
The NPFL board made the announcement in an official communication to all 20 clubs.
The league body also declared that all the clubs will receive a 20 million Naira take-off grant.
Matches involving CAF Confederation Cup campaigners Rivers United FC and Bendel Insurance FC will be put on hold, due to their continental engagements this weekend.

Rivers United will entertain Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso in the second leg of their second round match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday.
While Bendel Insurance will travel to Morocco for their second-leg clash against former champions, RS Berkane.
