A marriage ceremony which ordinarily should have ended on a sweet note has left people in mourning, following the death of nine guests killed in an accident around the toll gate entrance area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, South-South Nigeria.
The nine individuals and other passengers were returning to Sagbama Local Government Council Area of the State after the wedding ceremony which took place in Yenagoa.

The unfortunate incident which left others critically injured, according to the Bayelsa State Police Command involved a Toyota Hiace Bus and a Toyota Forerunner.
The police say sketch marks of the scene have been taken, while, the badly damaged vehicles have been evacuated to the Igbogene Division for further inspection.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri while the injured passengers are responding to treatment at the same facility.
