The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, and DAAR Communications, owners of Africa Independent Television, AIT, have renewed their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
The agreement is expected to strengthen media support and publicity for the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum.
The signing ceremony marks a renewed commitment to a partnership between NIPR and DAAR Communications that has spanned more than two decades.
The President of NIPR, Ike Neliaku, says the agreement is aimed at strengthening the relationship and ensuring effective collaboration ahead of the World Public Relations Forum in Nigeria.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the World Public Relations Forum National Planning Committee, Sulaiman Aruna, acknowledged AIT’s longstanding partnership with NIPR.
He says the media will play a key role in providing coverage of activities around the forum, including the arrival of dignitaries and participants.
The Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting the conference.
He says AIT will continue to use its platforms to project Nigeria positively and give the event visibility.
Dokpesi Jnr also expressed optimism that the World Public Relations Forum will provide an opportunity to showcase Nigeria to the international community and challenge negative perceptions about the country.
For NIPR and DAAR Communications, the agreement goes beyond formalising an existing relationship.
It is expected to further strengthen cooperation between the public relations and media sectors, while using the World Public Relations Forum to project Nigeria’s potential to a global audience.
