The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, describing him as an icon of reputation and a model for communication professionals.
In a statement issued on May 2, 2026, NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Ike Neliaku, said the minister embodies the core values of public relations and serves as a beacon for the next generation.
He noted that Idris’ rise to become the nation’s spokesperson reflects intentionality, determination, and a commitment to service anchored on professionalism.

Neliaku commended the minister’s adherence to ethical standards, describing him as a Fellow of the Institute and a shining example of responsible communication.
According to the NIPR, Idris’ calm disposition and handling of public communication have added value to the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Institute prayed for continued wisdom and grace for the minister as he marks his 60th birthday.
