Organized Labour in Nigeria says it might be left with no option other than to deploy industrial action if the Federal Government goes ahead with the widely speculated plan to increase electricity tariff.
In a letter to the Minister of Power and signed by Nigeria Labour Congress President Ayuba Wabba, Labour says it dismisses and describes all planned increases in electricity tariff as mere speculations.

The letter also contained a reminder to the Power Minister that Organized Labour on September 28, 2020, through the Federal Government and its Committee on Electricity Tariff agreed to freeze further increases until the committee concludes its work and its report adopted by all the Principals in the Committee.
The Minister was also told to consider the letter as a formal notice of industrial action.
