The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, on 15th December 2022 in collaboration with the federal capital territory High Court has commissioned a magistrate court at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The court which will have both criminal and civil jurisdiction sections is to ensure swift administration and dispensation of justice.

While speaking at the commissioning event, the managing director of FAAN, Rabiu Yadudu promised to continue to collaborate with the judiciary, as well as other relevant stakeholders to ensure safe and secure flight operations at airports in Nigeria.
In his remarks, The Chief Judge of the FCT, Justice Hussaini Baba observed that it was important to have the Magistrate court at the premises of the airport and noted that Magistrates will immediately be posted to the courts as well as support staff towards discharging their duties dispassionately without fear or favour.
