The federal government has linked some prominent Nigerians with the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, and says the arrest and prosecution of those identified will happen soon.
Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed said this at a news briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
The minister said it has become necessary to let Nigerians know how the leader of the proscribed IPOB was arrested after he disappeared from the country over two years ago.
He did not give specific information of where Kanu was arrested and how, but said it was the result of prolonged surveillance.
