The Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited has announced that it has begun mobilising trucks to the Dangote Refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju Lekki, ahead of the scheduled lifting of petrol on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

This move the company says is part of efforts to ensure a seamless and efficient distribution of petroleum products across the country.

According to the update shared on its Instagram handle @nnpclimited, NNPC Limited says it has deployed over 100 trucks to the refinery as at Saturday afternoon, with hundreds more enroute.

The massive mobilisation effort is aimed at meeting the high demand for petroleum products in the country, particularly petrol, which is expected to increase with the commencement of the refinery’s production.

The Dangote Refinery, Nigeria’s largest refinery, is set to commence petrol loading on Sunday, marking a significant milestone in the country’s journey towards energy self-sufficiency.

The refinery’s production is expected to reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported petroleum products, stabilise the market, and boost economic growth.

As the country prepares for this significant milestone, NNPC Limited has assured Nigerians of its commitment to ensuring a steady supply of petroleum products, particularly petrol, to meet the growing demand.

With the mobilisation of trucks and the commencement of petrol loading from the Dangote Refinery, Nigerians can expect a better fuel supply situation in the coming days.
