The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB says over 1.16 million tertiary institutions admission seekers have so far registered to sit for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede made this known on Saturday, during a monitoring tour of some computer-based test centers, CBT, in Abuja. He said the Board would not extend the deadline for the 2023 UTME registration while warning CBT centers against extortion of candidates.

JAMB fixed the sale of the 2023 UTME forms to begin on Saturday, January 14, 2023, and to close on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
He said registration is going on well except for some schools that go overboard with charges, stressing that the UTME is not a school-based examination, it is an individual candidate test.
JAMB urged candidates to report cases of extortion, saying that there is a code for candidates to reach the Board when they come across any case of extortion while promising there will be a reward for such actions.
