The Edo Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has arrested a driver and two others with 1,200 litres of suspected adulterated Automated Gasoline Oil AGO also known as diesel, concealed in a truck conveying a container laden with unidentified goods.
The three occupants of the truck were arrested by the anti vandalism unit of the corps on their way from Onne in Rivers state.
The Commandant of the Nigeria civil defence corps in Edo state, Aniekam Udoeyop while parading the suspects to journalists on Tuesday at the corps headquarters says the suspects were arrested on March 21 in Benin city while moving suspected adulterated petroleum products from Onne in Rivers state to Maiduguri in Borno State.
According to the commandant, the suspects cleverly packaged the suspected adulterated products in cellophane bags and concealed the bags in a compartment fabricated under the truck and the remainder were loaded on top of the six feet container.

The suspects, among them the driver of the truck, his assistant and another passenger during interrogation denied involvement in the crime.
The commandant Aniekam Udoeyop in reiterating the mandate of the corps of protecting government critical assets sent a warning message to those involved in vandalizing government property and sabotaging government efforts to desist henceforth or face his men who are determined to fish out those involved in the acts.
