Members of the journalism profession have been urged to uphold the tenets of the profession as well as act as agents of national unity and development in carrying out their reportage.
This was the submission of resource persons at the third Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, national conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
The last day of the third NUJ national conference saw the presentation of three papers, all bordering on the tenets of the journalism profession and maintaining peace during turbulent times for national unity by resource persons.

President of the Nigerian union of journalists Chris isiguso and other members of the professional body said the national conference has provided the needed opportunity for members to contribute to national development.
The theme for the third NUJ national conference is “The media, insecurity and national unity”.
