Ex-international, Kenneth Nwaomucha, has emerged Chairman Delta State Football Association in a keenly contested election having polled 26 votes beating his opponent, Michael Aniemeka, who got only one vote.
The election which took place at the indoor sports Hall of Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, was supervised by the Chairman of Chairmen, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, represented by the NFF South-South Zonal Coordinator, Emmanuel Ibe, also saw the emergence of former Warri wolves Chairman, Steve Cole and Azuka Okosi as Vice Chairman and Secretary respectively.
In his acceptance speech, Nwaomucha on behalf of the new executives thanked the President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick, the Chairman Delta Sports Commission, Tonobok Okowa, and described their emergence as a sign of good things to come in the state’s sports development.
Chairman Delta Sports Commission charged the new executives to go grassroots and discover more talents.

Nwaomucha, who took over from former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, also has in his executives Harrison Ochulor, David Egho, Neville Bekederemor, Azuka Chiemeka, Lucky Sunday, and former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje.
