The people Of Nyuwar in Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State have called on the Federal Government to come to their rescue from continuous banditry attacks from neighbouring Waja communities in Gombe.
The attacks have continued despite peace efforts from both the Governors of Gombe and Adamawa States to resolve the crisis between the major tribes of Waja and Lunguda in both States.
Asides from security, the people called for Judicial Panel of Inquiry into the crisis that have spanned more than two years.
They also sought a Truth and Reconciliation Committee to resolves the grievances.

The bone of contention has been over a disputed land.
Efforts by District heads have failed to bring about peace in the troubled zone.
At the moment, tension mounts in the agrarian community of Nyuar as residents seek respite in a crisis that has denied them their livelihood and peace.
