Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has urged Nigerians to keep faith with democracy despite the setbacks experienced in the country’s democratic sojourn.
In a statement signed by him to mark the 2023 Democracy Day, Governor Obaseki hailed the resolve of Nigerians to work collectively for the advancement of democratic ideals.
Inspite of challenges faced by the Nation, he noted that Nigerians have held strongly to the vision of their forebearers to build a united and strong country which presented an opportunity for all to aspire, dream and prosper in a free society.

Obaseki added that Nigerians have shown their preference for democratic rule, time and again and urged all to continue to play their role in consolidating on the democratic journey notwithsanding the setbacks along the way.
He enjoined Nigerians to continue to keep faith with democracy and sustain the momentum gathered in strengthening the various institutions as that will ensure that society gets better through improved representative government in the quest for sustainable growth and development.
