A political group associated with the 2027 NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the Obidient Movement has raised the alarm over what it describes as a wave of misinformation directed at them.
The movement said reports claiming that the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, has removed Dr Yunusa Tanko as the National Coordinator of the movement is false and misleading.
In a statement issued by its Media and Communications Directorate, the movement described the publication, allegedly authored by one Francis Nnoli, as fictitious, mischievous, and a deliberate attempt by political opportunists to mislead the public.
The group stated categorically that Peter Obi did not remove Yunusa Tanko from any position and did not authorise any individual or group to issue such a statement.
It also denied allegations that the Movement is aligning with any other political group, insisting that its structure remains intact and its leadership unchanged.
