Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has described the state’s one hundred and fourty bed Obudu-German hospital as a medical destination in Africa.
The hospital which has been completed and ready for commissioning in February, according to the Governor, will be one- stop point intensive medical facility that will cater for many health challenges, thereby discouraging capital flight.
Speaking during an unscheduled inspection of the ultra-modern hospital, Governor Ayade said given the reputation of Siemens the state partner, it will be a touchstone in quality healthcare coming from Cross River State.

On her part,the Commissioner For Health, Janet Ekpenyong,said the hospital strategically located on the Obudu Ranch Route ,is fitted with a solar power system to guarantee 24-hour power supply and will not depend on the national grid.
Some of the world class equipment at the Hospital includes MRI, CT scan, radiology, diagnostics, and dialysis which will be managed by Siemens From America.
