Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

A statement issued in Abeokuta on Thursday, the Governor described Ramadan as a sacred period marked by reflection, devotion, and self-discipline, as well as renewed commitment to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity.

He commended Muslims for their steadfastness throughout the 30-day fast, noting that beyond abstaining from food and drink, the period was also characterized by acts of charity, compassion, and support for the less privileged.

Governor Abiodun appreciated the Muslim community for their continued prayers for peace, progress, and good governance in Ogun State and Nigeria, describing such spiritual support as vital for unity and stability.

As Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the Governor urged them not to relent in upholding the virtues of patience, generosity, humility, and righteousness imbibed during the fasting period.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, social welfare, and sustained development across Ogun State, irrespective of religious inclinations.

Governor Abiodun also prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and divine blessings upon the state and the nation, wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous Eid celebration.
