The people of Uwanno kingdom on Saturday came out in style and grandeur to witness the installation and presentation of staff of office to their chosen illustrious son, HRM Senator Francis Asekhhame Alimikhena as the Okumagbe of the Uwano kingdom in Edo North Senatorial District of Edo state.
The Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo accompanied by Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State and other dignitaries within and outside Edo state, presented the staff of office to the new Okumagbe of Uwanno Kingdom.

By this action the Edo state government gave its official approval to the coronation of HRM Sen. Francis Esakhame Alimikhena as the Okumagbe of Uwanno Clan in Edo State.
Coming at a time when the people of Uwanno kingdom are yearning for a unifier, according to a cross section of dignitaries who graced the high profile coronation, HRM Sen. Francis Alimikhena, with a pedigree, grounded in various spheres of endeavors in leadership just fits the bill.
Historically, the Okumagbe of Uwanno clan kingship was deeply rooted in a well established culture and tradition of ascendancy.
The people of the kingdom are full of expectations knowing the antecedents of the new Okumagbe of Uwanno kingdom which shows in the large crowds seen at the event.
