Nigerian Youths have been asked to brace up to the challenge of fighting economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption in the overall interests of the Nation and their future.

The charge was given by the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede when he received a delegation of the National Youth Council of Nigeria who paid him a visit at the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja.

Olukoyede says Nigerian youths could still have a taste of good governance if they support every anti-corruption initiative of the EFCC; he stressed that youths need complete reorientation to stay away from internet crimes and materialistic pursuits.

While he explained that Nigeria has enough riches to cater for the needs of youths if economic and financial crimes are frontally tackled, he challenged the youths to look inwards and tackle bad eggs among themselves in order to be strengthened against corrupt practices.

The leader of the delegation, Sokubo Saraibe commended the EFCC’s operations as he promised that the Council will mobilise Youths against corrupt practices and partner with the Commission to deepen the fight against corruption. Sokubo used the opportunity of the visit to invite the EFCC to the Council’s 60th Anniversary.
