Ondo 2020: Makinde sure PDP will win forthcoming governorship election

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has expressed satisfaction with the readiness of the people of Ondo State to vote for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Eyitayo Jegede in Saturday’s governorship election.

Governor Makinde, who is also the Chairman of the PDP Governorship Campaign Council for the election, stated this when he accompanied the PDP candidate to a town hall meeting with the party’s loyalists and supporters in Ikare-Akoko.

With less than one week to the Ondo State governorship election, the candidate of the PDP is not relenting in his efforts to canvas for votes from the electorate.

This time, he is in Ikare-Akoko, accompanied by Oyo State Governor to meet with people and strategize towards delivering the area for the PDP.

Governor Makinde said the is happy that people of the state are ready for liberation and genuine governance, expressing confidence that they will return Jegede as the elected Governor of the state on Saturday.

The Oyo State Governor emphasized that the PDP is a party that believes in restructuring of the country.

On his part, Jegede appreciated the people of Ikare-Akoko for the warm reception, saying it is an indication that the PDP will win the election convincingly.

With less than a week to the state governorship election, the PDP campaign train is expected to extend its message of hope to the remaining local government areas of the state.
