Residents of Odigbo Community have vowed to seek redress in Court over the planned imposition of a non-indigene as Caretaker Chairman in the newly created Odigbo Local council development area, LCDA to prevent what they termed injustice.
The aggrieved indigenes who took their protest to the Governor’s office in the state capital on Tuesday said they will remain resolute in protecting their ancestral land and Heritage.
The aggrieved protesters who are indigenes of Odigbo are majorly youths are armed with placards with various inscriptions to frown against an attempted imposition.
The protest is coming few days after indigenes of the Community gathered at the palace of the Paramount ruler of Orunja of Odigbo Kingdom who sued for peace pending when the issue will be resolved.
However, the indigenes who took their protest to the Alagbaka Governor’s office said they remain resolute and might be forced to approach a competent court of law for justice and fairness.

Meanwhile, the acting Governor of the state,Lucky Aiyedatiwa who commended the agitators for their peaceful demonstration described the alleged imposition story as perceived rumour.
He said the Government will look into the various issues raised by the people.
