Speaker of the Ondo State House Of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji says speculations suggesting that lawmakers are divided over the impeachment process against Embattled Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is not true.
Oladiji while addressing Journalists in Akure, on the update of the political crisis in the state, also disclosed how the deputy governor is currently working against processes for peace through several court litigations instituted against the assembly.
Few days ago, a letter surfaced online where eleven out of the twenty six members of the ondo state house of assembly dissociated themselves from a letter by the Speaker of the House, Oladiji Olamide, requesting the state Chief Judge, Olusegun Odusola, to constitute a seven-man panel to investigate allegations of gross misconduct against the Deputy Governor of the State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The development came days after the national leadership of the APC called warring parties for peace talks .

However, it does appears the peace talk seems not to be yielding the desired results as the speaker is now accusing the deputy Governor of frustrating previous peace agreement.
Meanwhile a group within the All Progressives Congress in the state, Ondo Liberation initiative says attention should rather focus on ensuring Governor Rotimi Akereodolu return to the state to deliver on his campaign promises, than wasting energy on impeachment proceedings against the deputy governor.
With the politics of the Ondo State Governorship election in 2024 already heating the state ,it is hoped that the Political impasse within the APC will be resolved soon .
