Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on political gladiators in the state to embrace peace ahead of party primaries scheduled for April. He also advised politicians against actions that could undermine peace ahead of the November 16 Governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa gave the charge on Friday at the swearing-in of new Head of Service, Commissioners and Special Advisers as part of efforts to stabilise his new cabinet.
The last Executive Council was dissolved on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, one month after Lucky Aiyedatiwa assumed office as Governor following the death of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

In filling the vacuum created, Governor Aiyedatiwa sworn-in six Commissioners, eight Special Advisers and new Head of Service. The Governor urged the new appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear for the development of the state.
The newly sworn-in Commissioners are expected to be assigned portfolios in the coming days ad for all the new appointees, it is a call to service which must not be taken for granted.
