The Nigerian government says plans are underway to build 1000 units of low-cost houses in Ondo State as part of the first phase of its affordable housing initiative.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Housing Authority, Oyetunde Ojo, disclosed this when he and members of the housing authority board visited Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, of Ondo state, in Akure on friday .
Ojo said the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu in the housing sector will be implemented across the country.
Responding, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to give the needed support for the success of the project.
According to the management team of the housing authority, the project will take off before the end of 2024.
