The State Executive Committee (SEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, South West Nigeria has ratified the suspension of the state’s party chairman, Fatai Adams.
The party has also appointed an Acting Chairman, Tola Alabere to replace the now suspended Fatai Adams.
Rising from the meeting, where the suspension was ratified at the Party’s secretariat in Akure, the State Working Committee said the suspension process is in line with the constitution of the PDP.
Speaking with journalists, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the Ondo state, Kennedy Peretei said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will be accordingly notified officially of the development.
The State Executive Committee also used the opportunity to correct the impression that there is disagreement between the State chapter of the PDP and the National Working Committee of the party.
