Every last Friday of the month of each Ramadan is declared International Qudus Day to protest against the occupation by the Israel Zionist regime of the Holy Mosque of Quds, the third Holy Mosque for Muslims, located in Jerusalem.
The Shiites however said they were surprised about what they called the government’s campaign of calumny and a direct attack on the procession by security operatives which led to the death of one person with four others sustaining various degrees of gunshot injuries.
The Shiite leaders appealed to the Nigerian government to always try to protect the lives and property of citizens but expressed deep concerns over what they term extra-judicial killings of unarmed Nigerians by the police during every peaceful demonstration in the country.
