The Senatorial Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress, APC, held at Oleh Civic Center in Isoko South Local Government Area for the Delta South Senatorial Zone witnessed by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has produced Joel Onowakpo as the party’s flag bearer in the 2023 general Election.
Joel Onowakpo the sole candidate for the APC Senatorial Primary, was declared winner by the Secretary of the APC Electoral panel John Ebireri who announced that Onowakpo polled 285 votes out of the 360 vote cast while 75 he said were invalid.
Fielding questions from journalists after his emergence, Onowakpo said gone are days when APC in Delta state was polarised as the party is currently speaking with one voice and poised to clinch leadership of the state come 2023.

Onowakpo thanked leader of the party in the state Senator Omo-Agege, party leadership, national and his ward members for believing in him. He promised to contribute to the development of his constituency and Nigeria by making and supporting good policies as well as attracting development to his people.
