Men of the Operation Safe Haven, deployed to ensure maximum security to citizens of Plateau, part of Bauchi and Southern Kaduna have launched a full-scale special operation known as “Operation Hakorin Damisa” to counter security threats in some affected Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
This follows the recent increase in the activities of kidnappers, bandits, militia groups, and armed robbers in Miango Bassa LGA, and some other parts of the State.




The special operation outfit under the leadership of the OPSH Commander Major General C. C. Okonkwo is set up in compliance with the directive of the Chief of Defence Staff to sustain tempo and momentum to curb the menace of criminal activities within the country.

According to General Okonkwo, the conduct of operation “Hakorin Damisa” which commenced today is to be carried out with air support in order to wipe out bandits/militiamen and other criminals, so as to curtail isolated killings, kidnapping, cattle rustling, armed robbery, and other heinous crimes within Operation Safe Haven joint operational areas.
While flagging off the operation in Miango Bassa LGA, General Okonkwo charged the personnel deployed to carry out the operation to be professional and in line with the rules of engagement.
