The organised labour in Niger State, led by the Trade Union Congress, (TUC) Chairman, Ibrahim Gana, has shut down the Bola Tinubu International Airport in Minna, the Niger State Capital.

They also chased out some workers and locked up offices in some other places visited during monitoring for compliance.

This complies with the ongoing nationwide strike by the National Body of the Organised Labour.

As early as 7 a.m., the organised labour in Niger State were out to enforce compliance over the national body’s directive of an indefinite industrial action.

The team led by Trade Union Congress Chairman, Ibrahim Gana, visited Bola Tinubu International Airport, where they shut it down.

Drama ensued at the State Revenue House and at the Federal Inland Revenue House, where some workers were chased out.

All the offices visited witnessed a total compliance level, with empty seats, and some others under lock and key.

At the general hospital, some patients were seen being moved out, while a woman with a newborn who came for immunisation was seen leaving the hospital disappointed.

Gana further added that they will continue monitoring until the needful is done by the government.

However, some filing stations, like the NNPCL Mega Station at the city gate, as well as others, were seen dispensing fuel.
