The Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Imo State, South East Nigeria, Most Reverend Augustine Ukwuoma is appealing to the leadership of the organised Labour to do everything possible to prevent the looming strike, as the action will not benefit the poor rather it will create more problems and difficulties in the country.
The clergy made the appeal during the dedication of St Rose of Lima Catholic Parish, Omuma in Oru East LGA of Imo State, a church project conceived some 16 years ago, built and donated to the people of the community by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Bishop Ukwuoma who also prayed that the dedication of the church will foster peace, and stop bloodletting in Imo State and Nigeria in general, called on the people to worship God in truth and in faith.
