In a bid to ensure a credible electoral process, the Kukah Centre has urged political parties participating in the 2026 Osun State governorship election to uphold the principles of the centre’s Peace Accord.

Speaking at a validation forum for stakeholders in Osogbo, Project Manager at the Kukah Centre, Asabe Ndahi, stressed that commitments made under the Peace Accord must go beyond symbolic endorsements.

She emphasised that the Peace Accord remains a critical tool for preventing electoral violence, promoting responsible conduct, and strengthening public confidence in the democratic process.

The Peace Accord scheduled for 30th July 2026, provides an opportunity to deepen stakeholders’ understanding of the Peace pact, and also strengthened institutional collaboration and collective commitment to peaceful electoral conduct.
