The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Osun state has raised alarm over what it calls intimidation and harrassment of leaders and supporters of the party.
The party also called for an investigation into the activities of the state security outfit, Amotekun Corps to determine their scope of operation in the political activities of the state.
Addressing journalists at the party secretariat in Osogbo, the chairman legal committee of the party, Niyi Owolade demanded justice for some of the members of the party who were attacked by political thugs and called for their arrest.
The party also rejected speculation that the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof Kayode Adebowale as the returning officer of the July 16 governorship election.
Owolade said the party is ready for the election and under a free and fair process, will emerge victorious and its candidate Ademola Adeleke elected the next governor of the State.
