Osun State government says it has surpassed the 30 percent budgetary allocation benchmark for infrastructure development in its 2023 budget performance index analysis.
The Commissioner for Economic Budget and Development, Prof. Maruf Adeleke who stated this during a Press briefing in Osogbo while addressing key issues in the State’s 2024 budget, also disclosed that the development has left Osun State as one of the leading states in the country that have surpassed the Federal government baseline which anticipates that no state government goes below thirty percent in budgetary allocation for infrastructure development.
The Commissioner assured the people of more infrastructure development in the 2024 fiscal year in line with the vision of the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration.
While speaking on the alleged 18 billion Naira allocated to the governor’s office for meals and entertainment, Professor Maruf Adeleke said only 600 million Naira was budgeted for the purpose.
