Osun State Government says it is ready to reposition the education sector in a manner that will make it reliable and sustainable.
State Commissioner for Education, Dipo Eluwole made this known at a media conference to herald the forthcoming Osun State Education Summit slated to hold between Tuesday, August 22, and Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Eluwole while giving details of the conference, noted that issues around School Inspectorate Services; Monitoring and Evaluation in the State Education Ministry; benchmarks in the recruitment of teachers; Learner-Centred policies and undue political interference in the sector, among other areas of impact to the education sector in the state will form the basis of discussions at the conference.

On his part, Chairman of the Summit Committee, Professor Oyesoji Aremu, says the programmme will entertain submissions from critical stakeholders across public and private sectors to ensure inclusive, people-oriented, and sustainable reviews for successive government in the years ahead.
Professor Aremu also about the commitment of the Governor, Ademola Adeleke to ensuring that the outcome of the report from the summit is implemented fully.
