Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang says the Nigeria’s rising insecurity is a direct threat to Nigeria’s sovereignty.
He is therefore urging the military to intensify operations and restore lasting peace.
The Governor spoke while hosting participants of Senior Course 48 from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji. The delegation is in Jos for a strategic study tour of the state.
Governor Mutfwang welcomed the Jaji delegation to the Government House, with praises for the efforts of the Armed Forces in defending the nation’s territorial integrity.

But he is worried over the persistent attacks in parts of Plateau State which he says has severely affected the primary economy of the state, as displaced farmers can no longer access their lands.
He is demanding stronger, coordinated military actions to break the cycle of violence.
Delegation leader, Commodore Akinwunmi Oshatuberu acknowledges the problem and says the visit is aimed at studying factors driving the security challenges and assures that findings from the tour will provide actionable recommendations to support the government’s anti-terror efforts.
The touring delegation includes senior Nigerian military officers and four foreign participants from Zambia, Ghana, Guinea, and Tanzania.
