The crisis rocking the katsina state chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has taken another dimension as the chairman of the party, Sani Liti maintained that their Governorship candidate, Engineer Nura Khalil is unserious, not ready for governance and lacks the capacity to win election.
Liti who spoke to journalists after an emergency state working committee meeting, added that, the meeting held by the acting public relations officer of the party, Nasiru Usman led by the Governorship candidate, engineer Nura Khalil sacking them from the party is null and void.

The emergency State working committee meeting of the katsina chapter of the NNPP had in attendance all the executive members except the acting public relations officer, Nasiru Usman, acting assistant PRO, Danladi Sabuwa, treasurer, samaila Gozaki, and the acting welfare secretary, Tijjani Kafinsoli.
Addressing journalists at the end of the meeting, Chairman of the party, Sani Liti said, the 4 executive members who were absent have been suspended following what he termed, “illegal meeting”, where himself, the deputy Governorship candidate Dr Mustapha Rabe and other excos were sacked over the endorsement of the APC Governorship candidate, Dr Dikko Radda.
He said, their endorsement of Radda is as a result of their own Governorship candidate, Engineer Nura Khalil not being serious as well as not capable of winning the election.
Liti cited an example that, Khalil unlike the other top candidates has not gone to the 361 wards to campaign rather, stay put in his house.
The chairman denied collecting any money from the APC Governorship candidate as alleged.
He therefore said, the 4 excos have been suspended pending the outcome of investigation by the 9 man disciplinary committee .He said the behavior of the 4 executive members contravenes section 6 and 9 of the NNPP’s constitution and have 7 days to turn in their report.
