Residents of Tudun Wada in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria are set to have improved access to healthcare, following the upgrade of the community’s primary health centre to a cottage hospital.

The intervention is part of the state government’s efforts to expand healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services.

For an ever-growing community like Tudun Wada, the demand for healthcare services continues to rise, putting pressure on existing facilities.

The upgrade is expected to increase the centre’s capacity, with improved equipment and additional manpower to meet the healthcare needs of residents.

Tudun Wada is not alone. More than 80 primary healthcare centres across Plateau State have also been upgraded and equipped as part of the government’s broader intervention to strengthen healthcare delivery at the grassroots.

For residents, the development is a welcome relief. Many expressed gratitude to the government, saying the upgraded facility will bring essential healthcare services closer to the community.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the land title documents for the facility to the state government.

The gesture underscores the community’s support for the project and its commitment to ensuring the facility serves residents for years to come.
