Owner of Lagos collapsed building die in rubble

The owner of the 21-story collapsed building in Ikoyi, Lagos, Femi Osibona is said to have died.

He was reportedly in the building when it collapsed.

Friend of the Real Estate billionaire, Dele Momodu tweeted this late Thursday.

But the Lagos state government is yet to confirm the development.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared Three Days of mourning for the Victims of the collapsed Twenty-one Storey Building In Ikoyi.

A Statement by the Commissioner for Information Gbenga Omotosho says flags in private and public buildings are to be flown at half-mast while official engagements remain canceled.

Over thirty persons have so far been on firmed dead even as rescue workers continue to dig through the rubble.
