The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Abimbola Olugbenga has commenced an operational tour of all Area Commands across the state as part of efforts to deepen security and community partnership.
The 49th Commissioner of Police met with traditional rulers, community leaders, and representatives of various interest groups to listen to their concerns, assess the security situation, and review existing crime prevention measures.
According to a statement from the Command PPRO DSP Ayanlade Olayinka stated that the engagements are aimed at strengthening the resolve to protect lives and property across the state.
As part of the tour, the CP also held strategic meetings with commanders of sister security agencies to boost inter-agency collaboration, operational morale, and synergy.
He further interacted with local vigilante groups and community-based volunteers, commending their role in grassroots security and reaffirming the Command’s commitment to collaborative policing.
The tour is expected to cover all Area Commands in the state
