The Federal Government has filed a 10-count charge against three men arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS over the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, South-West Nigeria.
The defendants, Abdulrazak Umar, also known as Abu Khalifa or Abu Khalid, Yunusa Musa, and Shamsu Adamu Sani are facing charges bordering on terrorism, kidnapping, concealment of information, incitement, and illegal mining before a Federal High Court in Abuja.
According to the charge, the trio allegedly conspired with three other suspects between January and May 2026 to facilitate the kidnapping of the victims in Oyo State.
They are also accused of aiding the kidnappers and withholding information that could have assisted security agencies in preventing the attack and apprehending those responsible.

The Federal Government further alleged that the three men admitted membership of Darul Salam, said to be affiliated with the proscribed terrorist group Ansaru.
Abdulrazak Umar faces additional charges of allegedly using a WhatsApp platform to recruit, train and incite individuals to engage in terrorist activities.
He is also accused of illegally mining gold in parts of Suleja, Niger State, without lawful authority.
No date has however been fixed for trial.
